Obstacles Slow Us Down With Stripping Trailer

We started removing the floor and insulation when we suddenly discovered it was infested with very large Carpenter Ants. We quickly ran to the hardware store and picked up some ant killer and waged war with the ant colony that lasted for two days! After multiple battles at last we were victorious and the work continued at stripping the trailer down to its frame. The lag bolts anchoring the sub-floor to the frame were so rusted, Julian had to saw them off with a hacksaw. After a short break, Julian woke me up from a nap and made me work to help him finish. Later, I had to leave for a meeting and by the time I got back Julian finished stripping the whole thing down.to the frame.

All thats left is cleaning up the mess!

The New (old) Trailer Arrives!

Julian gets right to work stripping down the newly arrived trailer.

We finally found the trailer we were looking for! We would like to extend a special thanks to Julie, a generous person we contacted through Craigslist. Julie had this sitting on her property and after learning about our mission to build a tiny house, decided to sell it to us for just $75. Then she offered to tow it to our house! Thank you so much Julie. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
